Materials
I was inspired by Tord Boontje, 'Until Dawn Curtains' which contains simple but effective outlines of  flowers and animals of all shapes and sizes delicately cut out of one piece of paper to form a curtain which can be purchased in different colours.

There are lots of materials out there, but i like good old traditional paper as you can create something different and beautiful every time. This is one of my designs which I worked on for my sculpture concept as part of my Degree in Design. I drew out different styles and sizes of flowers onto cartage paper then cut them out carefully using a craft knife, then placed onto a background.

I enjoyed this project as the concept of this design was to create something 3D, this develop into a curtain which would be hung in the Learning Resource Center (library) which is why I wanted to use paper to link in with the books of this location.

Experimenting using Sketch up

Sketch Up is fun and easy to make fantastic 3D images, using a range of tools provided, these are just some which I have produced.  The designs of the rooms are amazing as they are influenced by the modern style.  I think colour is an important part of making a room at it's best, so by using a colour pallet of bold exciting colours i have made these rooms stand out.
